Buick McKane, the two piece rock behemoth and their ear pounding alternative new wave sound return to The Good Ship after a jubilant set at February’s Monster Truck. Buick have the incredible nak of fusing heavy riffs, great live effects with pinpoint timing to create a sound that shouldn’t be possible for two mere mortals. Previous support slots with And So I Watch You From Afar, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Tubelord and Cage The Elephant prove Buicks pedigree. Expect a tight set and even tighter jeans! RAWK!

Stepping up for the unfortunately absent IDRchitecture, B McK’s sets are always great great fun & full of anthemic hooks, they are not to be missed; here’s what we said after there previous impressive Monster show in Feb…
“Fueled on a tasty Nando’s chicken feast, our headliners Buick McKane destroyed the Good Ship - how do two people make so much awesome noise?! After braving the Northampton blizzards en route to Capital City the power punk duo were on spectacular form, ripping through their hook-laden set like the Foos, The Hives or Manics. Sean Grant is a proper front man, demanding your attention with his guitarmanship, swagger & wit, whilst Meg White alike drummer Mark Nicholas just consistently bangs out the hypnotic beats. With their record label deal coming to an end this spring, expect a host of A&R hounds on their tails after this outstanding performance of mighty rockness.”
Should be good then eh? Run over to http://www.myspace.com/buickmckane for a sneaky peek of whats to come.
And kicking things off before the aforementioned Buick McKane & I Am Austin, Oh and Sucioperro of course: Kill Goliath.
Terrorising the Music Industry with their DIY ideals & savage tunes, Kill Goliath’s inspiring progressive post alt/rock will no doubt get Thursday 17th off to a riotous start! With wondering guitars and thought provoking lyrics, KG can easily be compared to bands such as Brand New et al. Although still in their infancy in this form, Kill Goliath have proved a force to be reckoned with , commanding the audiences attention but rewarding them with something beautiful and revolutionary, watch out Goliath (aka the slimy record industry) as these Irish boys are here to Kill you with a powerful rock of their own.
