Monster Truck’s Camden Crawl Tips

Monster Truck will be heading to the Camden Crawl this weekend scouting all the hot new musical talent. We won’t be watching the Drums. They suck. Below are a few bands who we recommend & are hoping to check out, as long as the scheduling permits that is…

Gaggle; a 20+ all girl choir in futuristic tabards

That Fucking Tank; angry instrumental ASIWYFA-esque rock

http://www.myspace.com/landsandbody

Midnight Juggernauts; Aussie dancey Space-Prog – like Cut Copy in orbit

http://www.myspace.com/midnightjuggernauts

South Central; recent Prodigy support – the band incarnation are all live loops & intoxicating beats, unmissable… if it’s the band version, though if it’s a late late night DJ slot still worth checking out

Kurran & the Wolfnotes; all the rage soulfoul electro-folk – NME faves

http://www.myspace.com/kurranandthewolfnotes

Kasms; former Test-icicles member’s new powerful dark rock minnions

http://www.myspace.com/kasms

Strange News from Another Star; cause I like the name! It’s a line from a Blur song ain’t it

http://www.myspace.com/strangenewsfromanotherstar

Shy Child; New Yorker electro key- tar duo & former Muse Wembley support (I think)

http://www.myspace.com/shychildmusic

and some not to be missed more established acts striving to rekindle former glories…

Delays & The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

In the day, before the music starts in the evening & scrums trudge from venue to venue, The Sheephaven Bay (located at 2-3 Mornington Street, Camden, London, NW1 7QD) will be showing all the Premiership action in partnership with Fantasy League  (http://crawl.companyleague.com/) & Fairplay Gigs are hosting a fringe show at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town featuring Monster Truck stars Buick McKane & those grubby Nixa boys (http://tinyurl.com/3xyrc4h) – free entry with a Crawl ticket too boot.

over 200 views?!? Hope these tips were helpful to any Crawlers.

Gaggle were completely unique, a wonderful spectacle. Kurran & the Wolfnotes jolly, lovely & charming. That Fucking Tank were fucking insane – my new fave band & Eighties Matchbox were as dark and brilliant as when i first saw them 7 years ago, front man guy is awesome. Special note to the Deadmau5-esque tunage of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, great fun in a packed Dingwalls.
